01. Debenture: título garantido apenas pela integridade de quem toma emprestado. Debenture é um unsecured bond.

02. Bond: conforme já mencionamos aqui, essa palavra se refere a qualquer título de uma empresa ou de um governo, que gera juros ou que é vendido com deságio. Um bond obriga o emissor : (1) pagar ao bondholder (detentor do título) uma soma específica de dinheiro, usualmente em intervalos específicos de tempo e (2) recomprar o título no vencimento estabelecido (obligation to repay the principal amount of the loan at maturity). Os detentores de bonds têm essa garantia do emissor, mas nenhum privilégio de propriedade tal como os acionistas têm. Essa palavra deu origem ao substantivo bonde, também conhecido como elétrico em Portugal, ou carril.

Em Porto Alegre o nome da companhia de bondes, quando foi nacionalizada, ficou sendo Companhia Carris (plural de carril) Porto Alegrense – a sigla era CCPA. O nome original da empresa americana que explorava esses serviços em grande número de cidades brasileiras era BOND & SHARE.

03. Stockholder: acionista (sinônimo: shareholder).
04. Maturity vencimento de um título.
05. Bearer bond: é um bond ao portador.
06. Registered bond: é um bond nominal.
07. Collateral: é um asset (bem ou ativo) entregue a quem dá um empréstimo, como garantia de pagamento do empréstimo. Se o tomador do dinheiro defaults (não paga), aquele que empresta tem o direito legal de tomar posse do que se chama collateral e de vendê-lo para quitar a dívida. Em linguagem não técnica, essa palavra equivale a fiador.
08. Assets: ativo, bem (de empresa ou pessoa).
09. Liabilities passivo (de pessoa ou empresa). Singular é liability.
10. To default: falhar em fazer um pagamento.
11. Loan: empréstimo.
12. To borrow: tomar emprestado.
13. To lend, lent, lent: dar emprestado.
14. Equity (1): em linguagem não técnica significa equidade, justiça.
15 Equity (2): Utilizada na área bancária, esta palavra representa a diferença entre o valor pelo qual um determinado bem (asset) pode ser vendido e o valor dos débitos garantidos por este bem. A palavra BEM, nesse caso é PROPERTY.
16. Equity (3): Na área de investimentos, serve para distinguir entre shares ou stock (ações) e bonds. Equity não inclui os bonds.

Essa palavra (equity) tem vários significados e está muito na moda devido à expressão EQUITY FUND, fonte da dinheirama do MITT “mormon” ROMNEY, que além de faturar mais de 10 milhões de dólares por ano por meio de seus EQUITY FUNS, paga apenas 15% de imposto de renda.
Na contabilidade pessoal, asset é o ativo, liability é o passivo e equity é a diferença positiva entre o ativo e o passivo.

The second news in the Internet is the foundation of a site named, http://www.wikirating.org where you can, after registering, give your opinion about the economy of the countries of our world. As you have already noticed, Standard & Poors, Fitch, Moody’s and other credit rating agencies are not providing us with trustable forecasts, so Wikirating.org allows the common citizen to give his/her opinion on such matters. I myself have already expressed my concern with Communist China. IMHP*, China is dangerously surfing a very thin real estate bubble much, much more dangerous than the American one of 2007 and 2008.

The commies’ last attempt to take over our country and put it under the command of the now, thanks God, defunct USSR, was in March 1964. Today we have a democracy (and not a communist, defeated and rotten dictatorship as in Cuba) and, also, freedom of speech because of the heroes of 1964. Nevertheless, those bad guys are in command now. They are very persistent and never give up.
